Congratulations on your delivery! Here are a few things you might want to consider doing on the day you collect your car from the dealership:
Finance Agreement
Check all paperwork is in place and correct information is on all of the confirmation. Ensure any deposits have been paid and that you have a proof of receipt available.
Insurance
Before collecting your new vehicle, it's important to make sure you have the right insurance coverage in place. Ensure you have a copy of the insurance on collection.
Paperwork
Print out any required documentation (Proof Of Insurance, Finance Agreement, Proof Of Final Invoice Payment)
Check The Car Over In Detail
When you arrive to collect your vehicle make sure you check all of the vehicle before you drive off from the collection centre. Inform the delivery centre staff and ensure it is logged ASAP. Ideally within the first 100 Miles of collection.
Things To Look Out For:
Paint Imperfections
- Dents, Scratches, Swirls, Chips, Scuffs, etc..
Panel Gaps
- Panel gaps should be consistent across the entire vehicle.
Glass
- No Chips, Cracks, Damage and Alignment.
- Seal Imperfections/Splits
Doors
- Close with ease and do not catch or rub
- No squeaks or rattles
Boot & Frunk
- Open & Close, Gaps, Close with reasonable force not to cause dents
Infotainment
- Reversing Camera, Radio, Spotify
- Speakers
Interior
- Steering wheel damage
- Wireless phone charger works
- Door card damage
Lights
- Fog, Standard, Indicator, Reversing, Break, Interior, Door
- Condensation/Water Ingress
- Alignment
Accessories
- Ensure all included accessories are in the vehicle that are included including - Charging accessories (3-Pin/Type-2)
- USB Drive
- Car Mats
- Emergency Kit
